Everyone's health and safety is number one priority now!
We would like to reassure you with regard to the current situation in Italy, particularly in the Veneto Region, where we live, and in Padova, where the event is being organized.
Our National Health Service, particularly the Regional Service, has taken important steps to scrupulously manage the coronavirus epidemic, both at the secondary care level, for those requiring hospital admission, and in terms of prevention. These measures are being adhered to by all of us, with important emphasis being placed on adopting adequate behaviour and taking the necessary precautions.
The coming days will therefore be vitally important in the process of enabling a return to normal daily and professional life
As far as the GYNECARE 2020 – International Meeting on Reconstructive Cosmetic Gynecological Surgery is concerned, while fully aware of the situation affecting not only our country but many other countries worldwide, we would like to stress the importance of keeping the programme of clinical update and debate envisaged by GYNECARE 2020.
We are sure you can appreciate our efforts not only to keep the programmed event but also to boost interest in this specific, topic highly topic that is beneficial to all of us.
Mark your calendar and see you in Padova very soon!
The rise in mainly neoplastic pathologies of the female genital area is giving increasing prominence to reconstruction needs.
In parallel, regenerative and surgical therapies and aesthetic medicine are becoming more widespread, generating a surge in demand.
The recent advancement of reconstructive techniques based on more accurate anatomical knowledge has led to the development of methods that can be used in several disciplines for three-dimensional recovery of the genital area.
This setting prompted the idea to hold a meeting where gynaecologists and other specialists involved in the management of vulvar pathologies and ageing can share knowledge with plastic surgeons, specialists in reconstructive surgical techniques, aesthetic surgical rejuvenation techniques, non-invasive laser techniques, radiofrequency, use of fillers, and platelet-derived stem cells which are now managed in the field of aesthetic and regenerative medicine.
The Meeting therefore represents an important training project of great topical interest addressed not only to gynaecologists and plastic and cosmetic surgeons, but also to dermatologists. The aim is to create mutual, shared professional updating and to involve the leading scientific societies at both national level, as the Italian Society of Gynaecology and Obstetrics (SIGO) and the Italian Society of Plastic, Reconstructive-Regenerative and Cosmetic Surgery (SICPRE), and European level.
